Business Development

Responsibilities:

Builds market position by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships in the commercial office furniture industry in Seattle, Puget Sound and Western Washington.

 

DUTIES

  • Identifies opportunities through network: commercial real estate brokers, architects and designers, contractors, business partners and industry events.

  • Represents MBI to the market place in professional manner that creates, develops and closes project business.

  • Processes, comprehends and has a proven track record a complex sales process. 

  • Closes new business by coordinating client requirements with MBI products and services.

  • Protects MBI value with continuous development of ideal leads, opportunities and presentations.

  • Updates skill and market awareness by maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.

  • Enhances MBI business growth by expanding exposure in the marketplace for future opportunities.

Project Coordinator

The primary role of the Project Coordinator is to support the assigned Salesperson(s) throughout the entire sales process from initial quoting to completed installation.

Project Coordinator Job Duties:

-        Create quotes by entering order information into CORE software

-        Calculate total order discounts and gross profits

-        Verify orders for accuracy by comparing issued purchase orders to vendor acknowledgements

-        Coordinate sales process with vendors by specifying products, calculating pricing, processing purchase orders, handling warranty and freight claims, and processing punch items

-        Communicate with customers during each step of the order process.  This includes answering questions throughout the sales process

-        Process customer deposits, invoices, and assist in collection of accounts receivable

-        Work with internal team of salesperson, designers and installers by coordinating design specifications as determined by sales and design, coordinating installation and delivery of product between customer and installation team

-        Compile order trackers as requested by customers

-        Other tasks as assigned

Accounting and Payroll Clerk

The primary role of the Accounting and Payroll Clerk is to support the CFO in the accurate maintenance of the company’s financials.

 

Job Duties:

-        Process weekly vendor payments including employee expense reimbursements

-        Maintain vendor database

-        Process daily deposits consisting of checks, ACH and credit card payments

-        Post and reconcile daily deposits

-        Accounts Receivable Collections

-        Process bi-weekly payroll

-        Process monthly commission payments for salespeople

-        Submit 401k contributions to third party administrator

-        Onboard new employees

-        Process benefit enrollments / terminations for employees

-        Create 1099’s

-        Support other staff as needed

-        Other tasks as assigned

 

Required skills:

-        Competency in MS Office and accounting software
